Clark Mollenhoff M.A.c., L.A.c
Wellness, Lifestyle and Emotional Healing Coach
Hi, Im Clark Mollenhoff. Im a licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Maryland. I support individuals seeking to find more ease, peace and strength in their lives. I treat people, not thier injury or illness. I do address symptoms, but I consider them in a broader context to be very helpful and wise warning signs of something deeper that may need attention. The majority of my practice is filled with people who are activley engadged in their own healing and wish to learn more about themselves, what makes them tic, and how they get in their own way. These are questions I am in constant pursuit of in my own life.
No medication or treatment in the world is more important than the state of mind that a person brings to their own condition. We each have a doctor within us that is full of recuperative and healing potential and must be allowed to work. Acupuncture has been used to support this inner healing by 1/3 of the worlds population for over 5,000 years. It is the most widely used form of medicine in the world.
What I offer as a practitioner is the commitment to work with you to effect positive change in your life. Some of the tools I use to assist our progress are Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Breath and Meditation Exercises, Eastern Philosophy, Chinese Nutrition, Herbal and Manual Therapy. We will talk. We will explore the art of being human. I will help to ease the experience of your symptoms and support you in designing a more balanced and powerful way of being in the world.
From the denseness of our bones to the lightness of our breath we are all made of energy. That energy is in constant motion with in us giving life to all of our cellular activity. Every chemical reaction that occurs with in our body is animated by energy. The Chinese called this Qi, meaning energy or life force, or better translated as function or movement. This energy is generated from the nourishment we take in, the quality of our breath, and from our balance between activity and rest. When our body functions properly, we manage stress well, we heal, we grow, and we live peaceful lives full of vitality. This is an ideal state of being. It is easy to become overwhelmed with our circumstances and responsibilities in life. Along with environmental stressors we can develop bad habits, thought patterns and ways of coping that do not promote balance in the body. The Chinese observed over thousands of years that stimulating certain points or combinations of points will help to reestablish proper function so long as the body is getting the proper balance of nutrients, oxygen, and activity and rest. Acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms and helps bring a level of calm and clarity to the body and the mind.
Acupuncture has been proven to benefit many conditions of the body and mind including, but not limited to, the following:
